I wanted to write last night, but I was too tired. I spent time before going to bed last night reading someone's blog who had just adopted a baby from China. I didn't realize how emotional I had been until I was getting ready for bed and saw my face. A wee bit read and so were my eyes. While reading it I was overwhelmed with God's love for each person he makes- not just my children. :) It is amazing to see how God sends us each our children in his own way. Some come straight from us and some we have to travel half way around the world to get. But God has made them all our children and they are all precious in his sight.
I am so thankful for my girls. For their kind hearts, laughs, hugs, creativity, and the joy they bring to our lives. A friend posted a picture on her blog of sweet baby hands holding an ice cream cone. You can simply not find anything sweeter in my opinion than little hands holding something. They way they work is so neat- and often don't work. :) I love watching our girls-esp. Annika at this age. I have a million stories I want to share and funny things they have said, but I must get to bed so I can enjoy them tomorrow and not be tired and frustrated all day. I do love something Olivia said the other day. We were talking about Trav's work and I was explaining more about what he does, what a test is (he was giving his students a test that day), and other things that go on in a classroom. And Olivia said, "You know what daddy does in class? He is IN CHARGE OF THE CHALKBOARD! That is what I want to be when I grow up- In charge of the chalkboard." Very cute! The other day after I came out from getting A down for a nap, she had fixed a tea party for the two of us. She had gotten us each fruit snacks (and used her little scissors to open them), we had bowls, plates, and cups and a pitcher of water to fill our cups. She filled them both and we had a tea party. It was very sweet. Gosh, I love these girls. What am I going to do when I don't have a toddler anymore? I will come borrow yours.
